Indigenous Wisdom
The oral traditions of Indigenous peoples worldwide carry millennia of accumulated wisdom about humanity's relationship to land, community, ancestors, and the sacred. This collection draws from published, translated sources — the Maya Popol Vuh, West African Yoruba and Akan proverbs, and other works that have entered the scholarly record. It does not claim to represent any living Indigenous tradition comprehensively.
